We are currently printing our 6th issue of THRIVE and we ran across one of our mock-up books when we were out selling the idea. Here are a couple of ads really like that we had fun creating out of thin air

It’s official! Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is building a new home for the Montgomery’s in Philo IL. Midwest College of Cosmetology is one of many groups helping out where they can. They had a group of students on location to give massages and also to help with the build! This is a pic of them behind a tablecloth we designed for them – although it’s not in it’s natural habitat (8′ table). It gets the job done though!

Did you know the first font on the moon was Futura? It was used on a commemorative plaque left by the astronauts of Apollo 11 in 1969. Check out a whole original set of posts on idsgn called Know Your Type.

Here’s the AEX stationery system in all of it’s glory PLUS a grid sheet. Although you can’t see it really well in this pic, the ghosted pillar graphic looks awesome on their letterhead.
From the get-go I was really pushing for a two sided business card, but I LOVE how these turned out. A lot of information, but still really clean.

One of my favorite logos we’ve created so far – the AEX logo. This wasn’t a completely new look for AEX, we actually started with their original logo that needed reworked and modernized a little. We cleaned it up and got to work on their new identity. This logo focuses in on their professionalism, and the duality of their technical precision and artistic expression. They have the vision to think big and see the whole picture as well as the diligence to work through the minutia.
We just finally got around to snapping some shots of one of our very first marketing pieces for Showcard Studio. We sent this personalized letter of introduction out (on our letterhead of course) with a brochure and discount card. The offer doesn’t expire – it’s good for 15% off your first order with Showcard so if you’re still hanging on to one… give us a call!

Although we have pumped this document full of boring studio policies, this is a fun piece.. mostly because we love using this photo for the first page. The white is a textured cover with our icon printed on it very subtly.

This was a fun ad to to for Fairview Park Plaza. This ran in Decatur’s 2009 Answer Book… Not sure what the question was but the answer must be in here somewhere.
Although we had to use a derivative of the MCC logo to fit within the existing sign, I think this worked out pretty well. When they get the sign box painted black this will look pretty darn slick!
